ALL SUBMITTED ENTRIES MUST BE LICENSED PURSUANT TO A CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSE. MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OLD TO ENTER or fill in a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules.
Creative Commons UK “Mix&Mash Competition” ("Contest") commences at 8 February 2007, and ends at 12:00 a.m. GMT 10 March 2007. Contest is sponsored and run, as a public education activity, by the Creative Commons UK, The Young Foundation, 18 Victoria Park Square, Bethnal Green, London, E2 9PF, United Kingdom ("Sponsor").
(1) Eligibility:
Contest is offered only to natural persons older than 18 years of age as of the date of entry or with a consent form signed by a parent or guardian sent in hardcopy by post to Creative Commons UK, The Young Foundation, 18 Victoria Park Square, Bethnal Green, London, E2 9PF, United Kingdom by 9:00pm, 12 March 2007. Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Void where prohibited by law.
(2) How to Enter:
• Submit entry online with a completed Contest Entry Form and, where required, send in a consent form in which you specify the URL from which your work can be downloaded.
• Entries may be any form of moving or still image, including but not limited to, video, animation, and text.
• Duration of entry cannot exceed 3 minutes.
• Only entries that include both audio and visual material are permitted.
• To be eligible electronic entries must be received by Creative Commons UK by 12:oo am GMT 10 March 2007.
• Entries must include material downloaded from the internet.
• Downloaded material can be audio or visual.
• Individuals may enter a total of three times and are eligible to win only once even where entries are in different categories.
• Entrant must have permission via licence to use all incorporated portions authored or owned by third parties.
• Rights to use incorporated material may not be purchased.
• Use of images and works in the public domain may be incorporated into entries. However, materials which infringe on the rights of any third party may not be used.
• Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries. Incomplete or illegible entries are not eligible. All entries must be licensed under a Creative Commons License.

Screening at Optronica Film Festival
The four winning entries will be screened at the National FIlm Theatre on 16 March Optronica Festival. Our four winners will be interviewed and featured on the Creative Common UK Website for month.
At Sponsor's expense, prizes shall be shipped via Royal Mail Insured Post to winner's resident mailing address which must be part of the United Kingdom on or around March 30, 2007 (prizes will not be delivered to P.O. Boxes). All prize expenses and/or services not specified are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner. No alternative prize, cash equivalent, or other substitution is permitted except by Sponsor in the event of prize unavailability. Prize is nontransferable. All federal, provincial, state and/or local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
(4) Winners:
Winners will be determined by highest overall grading from all eligible entries received. A panel of judges (none of whom are employed by Creative Commons UK) will grade all eligible entries based on their excellence in communicating the selected theme of the competition, their artistic quality and their technical merit. All grading decisions are final. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry which is, in the judging panel's discretion, inappropriate, offensive or demeaning to Sponsor's reputation or goodwill. Winners will be notified by e-mail, and/or phone by 12 March, 2007 and shall be required to complete an affidavit or declaration of eligibility/liability-publicity release which must be signed and returned so that it is received within 10 days of the date printed on the prize notification, or the next highest score entrant will be awarded the respective prize. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of all rights to prize(s). Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners. If a prize or prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner will be awarded. Accepting and/or using prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner's name, hometown and/or likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
(5) General Terms and Conditions:
By participating, entrants agree that Sponsor, agents and representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (ii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (iv) any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper conduct of the Contest. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the England without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the English Law or any other jurisdiction), that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than England.
